Estate Agents in Cheshire have joined forces and are on a mission to spread the word to local residents about the benefits of home swapping or “part exchanging”.
All of the agents involved in the campaign already advertise their home swap property on the recently launched PartExMyHome.com and have generated some fantastic activity as a result.
The part exchange concept has been around for decades but has only recently surfaced as an alternative to the traditional method of buying and selling. Steve Collings, PartExMyHome.com Director, says “We have created a fantastic platform to help create perfect swaps for vendors across the UK. The concept not only sounds good in theory, it actually works in practice and creates some fantastic results”.
It has not been an easy ride for the PartExMyHome.com team as Ben Brain, Resource Manager, explains “The only way that part exchanging or “home swapping” (as it is more commonly known) will achieve its full potential is if there is access to a mass of properties that are available. Once we achieve that mass of properties, there will be no stopping us. Our main struggle at the moment is trying to change the way that Estate Agents think. As a consequence of the poor property market, agents need to look to other ways of creating sales and making sure that they are covering every available option to ensure that they are providing their vendors with the best possible service. We are extremely pleased with the response we have received from the Cheshire agents and we think that it is fantastic that they are not only advertising the properties on the site but are taking their efforts a step further. They all realise the potential that part exchanging offers and they have taken it upon themselves to make it work, rather than sit back and wait for something to happen. We hope that this will go some way towards opening the eyes of agents throughout the UK and demonstrating that the concept does work, very well”.
